Student Participation in Dakshin Dialogues – South First’s annual thought conclave 2026

Five first-year PGDM students from Nitte School of Management (NSOM) got the opportunity to participated in the Dakshin Dialogue Conference 2026 held at Hotel Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru, on 28th January 2026 with the support of Dr. Sandeep Sasthri, Vice-President, Nitte Education Trust, Bengaluru.

The conference brought together policymakers, administrators, economists, and civil society leaders to discuss South India’s role as India’s growth engine and the challenges associated with governance, labour, and inclusive development. Key sessions highlighted state-led growth models, women empowerment initiatives, the gig economy, labour reforms, rural employment policies, and governance issues.

Students actively attended all sessions and gained insights into public policy, regional development, labour reforms, and socio-economic challenges, enriching their understanding of contemporary governance and economic frameworks. The event provided a valuable experiential learning opportunity, aligning academic knowledge with real-world policy discourse.
