The Training & Placement Cell of Nitte Education Trust School of Management is the chief facilitator for the students to obtain placements best suited to them and primarily liases between Industry and the Institute. The goal of Training & Placement Cell is to provide world class training to NSOM students. The Cell has emerged as a favored destination for many national and international organizations who come back year after year to recruit talented and well-groomed students of Nitte Education Trust School of Management. The Training & Placement Cell is dedicated to motivate and prepare the student community towards best placements. This is done by training students from the first year onwards focusing on motivational skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, leadership qualities, group discussions and interview techniques. Additionally, the Cell also provides the required infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The database of the students is managed by the cell, which helps place the students in positions that best suit them.

Placement Training

We get that learning isn’t a one-size-fits-all deal, so we offer a mix of hands-on workshops, mock drills, and peer-led sessions that grow with you—from that first nervous semester to your final placement push. To make it real, we team up with companies across industries—tech startups, finance houses, consultancies, you name it—and ask them exactly what skills they look for in new hires.

Once we know what matters most, we roll out bite-sized modules on everything from cracking tricky aptitude puzzles to sharpening your technical toolkit, and even nailing conversations and interviews. Along the way, you’ll do quick “pop quizzes” and mock interviews so you can see in real time what you’ve mastered and where you need a little extra practice.

Best of all, you won’t be on your own: our mentors—student veterans and industry pros alike—are there for one-on-one chats, honest feedback, and a cheerleader’s high-five when you hit your stride. And with our dedicated spaces for mock calls, online assessments, and group activities, you’ll never have to hunt for the right setup.

Pre Placement Training

The aim of pre-placement training on soft skills at NSOM is to develop soft skills, Aptitude, Reasoning skills & Social etiquette among the students of PGDM to prepare them for better career opportunities in industry and business domains. PGDM course at NSOM is based on holistic approach to management education to ensure the students acquire requisite skill sets, both soft & hard skills and competencies to meet the challenges of global corporate and business environments. The institute boasts of a robust pre-placement training model to achieve educational transformation of students by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills sets, thereby guiding and preparing them for successful placement in their desired career fields.

The pre-placement training model on soft skills at NSOM comprises of four distinct modules spread over four semesters of the PGDM course. Further, each semester-wise syllabus comprises of Aptitude & Reasoning tests, classroom interaction, Group Discussion, Mock Interviews, Resume preparation, thematic appreciation tests, audio-visual training, Public speaking sessions, Personality Development, questionnaires, case studies, peer reviews, role plays and guest lectures by core domain specialists. The pre-placement training enables students to adapt to novel learning process from passive to active participation. The dynamic approach during pre-placement training at NSOM not only strengthens their core domain knowledge but also cultivates confidence in its application. The training provides an ideal platform for transformation of students from Campus to Corporate environment.

The objectives of pre-placement training at NSOM are: -

In a nutshell, the pre-placement training on soft skills for students of PGDM at NSOM is designed to provide a seamless transition from academicians to dynamic industry leaders capable of making a tangible impact in their future workplace.<

Placement Process

A cordial Invite is sent to the companies inviting them to visit Nitte Education Trust School of Management and participate in the campus recruitment process.

Companies are requested to furnish entire details of the open position like Job title, description, eligibility criteria, salary structure etc, the same would be communicated to the students accordingly.

Suitable dates for the campus recruitment drive would be decided as per mutual convenience and students would be informed about the same.

All students who are eligible for the campus placement drive report at the college before the stipulated time and mark their signature on the registration sheet.

The students are seated in the respective Seminar Hall/ Auditorium notified for the pre – placement talks the company would first initiate the pre-placement talk wherein they provide a clear picture about the company and the current job position and benefits etc.

After the pre-placement talk, the companies would initiate the written test followed group discussion or by series of Interviews technical, HR rounds etc.

After the completion of the selection procedure on-campus, most of the companies would announce the final list of selected students and offer letters will be rolled out to the prospective students.
